Dehydrated Skin
Treatment Objectives
​98% of the population has dehydrated skin. The skin is usually sensitive, thin, flaky or scaly, tight and dry to the touch and has visible lines. Causes of dehydration include: harsh cleansing, acne treatments, sun exposure, lack of water intake, smoking, inadequate moisturizer, lack of sleep, stress, medications, illnesses, excessive exfoliation, astringents, air conditioning, extreme climates, hot showers, diet (excessive salt, coffee, caffeine, poor nutrition).
Skin Type Description
  • Toner
  • Eye Cream
  • Oil Based Serum
  • Daytime Moisturizer w/SPF 
  • (alternate for SPF which could be irritating is Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup with a physical SPF 20 instead of a chemical SPF)

  • Creamy Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Oil Based Serum
  • Nighttime Moisturizer

2-3 times per week: 
  • Exfoliate

1 time per week:   
  • Hydrating Mask
  • Hydrate using oil based product
  • Restore proper pH balance
  • Restore barrier function
  • Protect from sun and environmental changes

Warm not Hot showers

Reduce coffee and caffeine intake

Increase water intake
1/2 body weight = oz. per day
